Where Working Together Sets Us Apart

Meet our people. Discover our spirit. Learn about our unique culture.

Scot Forge is a 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company, which means the company belongs to the employees. Since everyone is an owner, each employee takes pride in the company’s performance and shares in its successes. This unique culture fosters an environment where new and creative ideas to improve areas of performance are encouraged by every employee, benefiting both the customer and the company.

Culture Of

Continuous Improvement

The pursuit of continuous improvement is evident at Scot Forge in all aspects of the business, not just production. The employees know that if they see a way to do something better, their voices will be heard if they take the initiative to point it out. The company’s culture celebrates the small improvements because the employees have seen how they can compound to make big differences. As shareholders, each employee-owner is passionate about the importance of their work and strives to move to a new level of performance, because everyone believes the organization is capable of making progress.

Because We Care

Safety Commitment

The employee-owners of Scot Forge take pride in delivering quality products, on-time, without compromising safety or adversely affecting the environment. By combining teamwork with continuous improvement, Scot Forge has created a culture focused on sending each employee home uninjured every day. Year after year, Scot Forge is recognized by OSHA and the Forging Industry Association for our outstanding safety performance because each year we purposefully strive to be safer and better than we have ever been before. In 2019, Scot Forge was recognized by EHS Today Magazine as one of America's Safest Companies. Our company originally won the award in 2014 becoming the very first steel forging facility in the United States to receive this safety recognition. Read our SafeStart Success Story.

Recognizing & Rewarding

Service To Each Other

Scot Forge values the loyalty and dedication of its employees. To recognize and reward their commitment and contribution, employees are honored for their length of service at an annual Service Awards Dinner. Additionally, in honor of the ESOP founder, Pete Georgeson, the “Spike” Award recognizes fellow employees who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for the past year, as recognized by their peers.

Plaid Is Pride

In 1977, the company's name was changed to Scot Forge, a name that reflected the Scottish cultural roots of the owner at the time, Pete Georgeson. A Scottish Highlander became part of the corporate logo along with the plaid tartan design. The wearing of tartan jackets, ties, skirts and dresses by employees shows our plaid pride. Today, Scot Forge employee-owners are easily spotted in a crowd with their bright tartan plaids.

Working Together, Playing Together

We build camaraderie with a variety of social events including annual picnics, golf outings, bowling competitions, canoe trips and Christmas parties.

To Learn & Grow
