Nondestructive testing

Scot Forge staffs an inspection team of industry certified personnel trained to use the latest and most advanced equipment in the field. Our on-site NDE services utilize Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, and Ultrasonic Testing methods to guarantee your forgings meet the quality requirements essential for the intended application, saving both time and money.

All personnel performing nondestructive testing at Scot Forge are certified in accordance with written procedures that meet and exceed the guidelines of ASNT Recommended Practice No. SNT-TC-1A (a guideline for the "Qualification and Certification of Nondestructive Testing Personnel" published by the American Society of Nondestructive Testing). Additionally, all of our Level III inspectors are third-party-certified or are in the process of becoming certified to the ASNT NDT Level III program and the ASNT ACCP Professional Level III program. Several Level II inspectors are third-party-certified to the ASNT ACCP Level II program. Our Spring Grove facility was recently accredited to the very stringent Nadcap Nondestructive Testing conformity assessment.
