Spring Grove, IL

Our 350,000 sq. ft. (and growing!) production plant and headquarters in Spring Grove, IL, is one of the nation's leading open die and rolled ring shops. This location is your go-to for forging manufacturing.

Core competencies

  • Open die hollows, rings, blanks, spindles and hubs
  • Seamless rolled rings up to 252"
  • Semi-closed die, complex forged shapes
  • Torch and custom cutting unusual shapes
  • Expertise in forming ferrous and non-ferrous materials
  • Ability to forge product up to 300,000 lbs.

  • Saw cutting, heat treating, torch cutting and rough machining including turning, boring and milling
  • Five hydraulic open die presses –16,500 ton, 5,500 ton, 3,000 ton, 1,250 ton and 750 ton

Clinton, WI

Our 273,000 sq.ft. Clinton plant is an open die facility known for its production of high-quality forged bars and open die forgings.

Core competencies

  • Tartan Bars® – rolled bars with sound centers for enhanced strength and quality with quick turnaround
  • Square, flat, hex and plate-type bar configurations
  • Spindles, hollows, rings, hubs and blanks
  • Ability to forge parts up to 50,000 lbs.

Franklin Park, IL

The 100,000 sq. ft. Franklin Park hammer shop produces high-quality hubs, rings and blanks.

  • Extensive tooling capabilities to produce near net shapes and prototype parts

  • Ability to forge parts up to 3,000 lbs.

Ringmasters – Wayne, MI

Our Ringmasters joint venture is a 100,000 sq. ft. facility that produces seamless rolled rings.

We offer seamless rolled rings from 1 piece to medium production-lot quantities.

Our ranges include:

  • Rolled rings from 13" to 125" O.D. and 8" to 116" I.D.
  • 24" maximum height
  • Up to 7,000 lbs. in carbon steels, 6,000 lbs. in alloy and tool steels, and 3,000 lbs. in stainless steels
  • Lead-times of 1 – 3 weeks with industry-leading 98.5% on-time delivery guaranteed!
  • Complete, in-house, saw cutting, heat treating, rough machining, parting, splitting and shot blasting
  • Metallurgical laboratory with tensile, charpy-impact, and micro capabilities
  • Comprehensive raw material inventory of carbon, alloy, tool steel, stainless and custom-engineered steels

North American Forgemasters – New Castle, PA

Our joint venture, NAF, is an open die forge facility that produces billet stock, ring preforms and forged shapes in larger sizes.

Core competencies

  • Adjacent to our primary melt source to take advantage of the efficiencies gained by hot transfer
  • 10,120 ton press and 4,500 ton hydraulic open die press forge more than 100,000 tons of ingot per year and are capable of producing hollows, shafts, rings, billets and bars up to 270,000 lbs.
  • Ring preforms for Spring Grove's ring mill up to 60,000 lbs.
