Vast Inventory of Materials and Tools
Scot Forge maintains an extensive inventory of carbon, alloy, stainless, tool steel, copper, and other ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
Breakdown Service
We also stock thousands of tools, so we can produce parts to near net shape, oftentimes with no tooling costs. This ready inventory of materials and tooling allows us to process your order the moment you call.

Breakdown Service
Our scheduling system allows for daily entry of breakdown and emergency orders for immediate production response.

Flexible Sizes, Shapes, and Quantities
You can order 1 forging or many, in ring, hub, spindle, hollow, blank, bar, and custom shapes, in part weights from 5 lbs. to 80,000 lbs.

Surface Condition OptionsFast Quotes
Our knowledgeable sales staff provides fast quotes—sometimes right over the phone.

Surface Condition Options
Scot Forge produces such high quality forgings that you have the option to purchase them with an "as forged" surface, allowing you to completely machine them in your own shop. Or, you may opt to have Scot Forge rough machine your parts, so they are ready for your finish machining operation.

Accelerated Replacement Parts
Should your shop accidentally scrap out a part, Scot Forge understands the immediate need for a replacement and quickly responds.

The Advantages of Forged Machine Shop Parts

Forging Advantage Forging offers many advantages for the production of machine shop parts—especially when compared to alternative metalworking processes.

Directional Grain Flow

Forging’s directional grain flow ensures high part strength with superior fatigue resistance, mechanical properties, and metallurgical soundness.Directional Grain Flow

Superior Structural Integrity

Forging eliminates internal voids and porosity, producing unmatched structural integrity. Costly internal rework and tooling wear, part rejections, and field failures are thus avoided.

Near Net Shapes

Our forging process allows us to bring parts closer to net shape with forged-in instead of machined-in steps, tapers, and I.D./O.D. configurations. This avoids excessive material usage, unnecessary machining and welding, and their related costs.

Cost Reduction Recommendations
Cost Reduction Recommendations
We recommend the most cost-effective way to produce your parts, through component reduction, bundling, or other cost-saving methods.

Value Added Options from One Source
Whether you need your parts "as forged," rough machined, heat treated, tested, or any combination of the above, Scot Forge provides single source responsibility—so you can prevent the delays and quality problems that arise with multiple suppliers.

Guarantee Programs
1- and 2-week delivery guarantees are offered on many of our hammer shop parts and rolled rings.

Our Franklin Park, IL hammer shop offers standard open die rings, blanks, and hubs in 1 week—guaranteed!

The shop offers 1- and 2-week guarantees on parts up to 30" O.D. and up to 2,000 lbs. that are forged from certain common grades, with in-house tooling. The 1-week guarantee applies to forged and shipped parts, while the 2-week guarantee applies to forged and heat treated (one process) parts.Value Added Options

We also offer 1- and 2-week guarantees on certain forged and shipped rolled rings from Ringmasters, represented by Scot Forge. Rings up to 125" O.D. (min. 13" O.D.) and up to 7,000 lbs. are guaranteed in 1 week, with most heat treated rings (one process) in 2 weeks.

In addition, we offer TARTAN BARS®—our unique round bars with sound forged centers and rolled bar surfaces—in just 2 to 4 weeks, or even quicker for breakdown needs.
