Scot Forge offers "one call"
forging solutions for metal rings in sizes ranging from
5 lbs. to 60,000 lbs. and with outside diameters from 2"
to 240". The company produces rings by both the open
die and seamless rolled ring forging processes and can
supply single piece or high volume quantities in ferrous
and non-ferrous materials.Custom sizing allows for thin-
or thick-walled, short- or tall-faced, webbed, flanged, or profiled rings to
virtually any requirement.
Scot Forge also provides a range of ring-related secondary
services, including in-house heat treating, rough machining,
destructive and nondestructive testing, and metallographic
analysis. The company's advanced production resources include
forge furnaces with capacities to 1,000,000 lbs., quench
tanks and heat treat furnaces for rings up to 20' in diameter,
7 vertical turret lathes for machining rings to 24' outside
diameter, 6 hydraulic open die presses, 7 steam hammers
and 5 ring mills, including one of the world's largest ring
mills, a fully automated Wagner 450/250 radial/axial.
The company operates or represents
six full-service ring production facilities, ensuring
