Hammers Scot Forge combines the versatility of classical steam-powered hammers with state-of-the-art heating and manipulating equipment to produce blank, ring and hub forgings in an infinite variety of shapes and sizes. Both ferrous and non-ferrous forgings are forged on our seven open die steam hammers in part weights from 1 to 3,000 pounds and in quantities as low as a single piece. Scot Forge has developed unique forging systems combining our hammers and our vast inventory of more than 6,000 loose tools. We are able to produce simple or complex forgings to near net shape, as well as custom forgings approaching closed die configurations. Tooling Our extensive tooling capabilities and know-how enable us to offer low volume prototypes, fast turnaround, and on-time guarantees, oftentimes providing a more cost-effective solution than machined bar, weldments, or closed die forgings.
